Opening night of ‘POINT OF VIEW’ 17th May.
A wonderful night full of fantastic people, wine supplied by the Salusbury Wine Store, beautiful music by Owl & Mouse and King Marigold! I left a very happy if slightly tipsy artist!

‘POINT OF VIEW’-
Opening night, 17th May from 7pm at the C99 Gallery, NW10 3ND.
In the build up to this show I have noticed my paintings take on a life of their own. I have asked my friends and family to review some of my work and everyone has a different take. My six year old nephew took a look at one of my more abstract pieces and saw a mushroom, my friend a jellyfish..
This is in fact quite fortunate as the show happens to be about the individual ‘point of view’ and the fact that depsite this intrinsic individuality, we are all combined in the shared knowledge of what it means to be human; to know that we are essentially heading to the same inescapable fate. It looks at the beauty of this process, how it gives life more value. We may think immortality is something desirable but like Jonathon Swift’s struldbrugs, the dream of living forever is not all it seems. We see death everyday and experience it all around us, if not the physical end, then an emotional end. Yet with this end there is space for growth.
My show looks at our reaction to this, the process and our struggle or acceptance.
There will be live music and fine wine on the opening night as well as an installation piece, details to be revealed on the opening night!
A nice bit of press in the Times- I got on the front page as well as full page article!(the Brent branch!)
A video tour of my solo show SPACE at the Biscuit Factory:
WORKSHOPS at SPACE.
Two workshops were held in collaboration with my show. One with the wonderful students of Kings College London where we made a joint canvas work using spray paint and found objects. The other with children from St Bart’s school in Sydenham where we created a tree complete with cut-out birds and leaves. Both were a great success and fun was had by all!

SPACE- Friday 3rd Feb, opening night!!
The space was full, the wine was drunk and the music was heavenly. It was a truly enjoyable night; my interactive installation ‘Tree of Lives’ proved a success and was full of the guests memories in Nature by the end of the night. Half of the paintings were sold and people came away happy!
